This is the email that went out July 3rd..2008

Great news...

The Premium Wordpress theme for the month of July
is ready for you to download.

Log into the Authority Site Center and click on
software. You will see a new category called
premium wordpress themes. Enter there and
you will find your new theme ready to download.

Please read all the instructions and follow the 5
guidelines that you must follow for using these themes.

While the rest of the internet is paying up to $79.00 for
these themes, As a member of ASC you will get access
to one premium theme a month, each and every month.

This is a very high value added benefit to your membership
as we worked extremely hard to be able to offer these to you.

We will be setting up a forum for the premium wordpress
themes after the 4th of July week-end.

Enjoy the new theme and if you are in the United States, or
wherever...celebrate tomorrow and be thankful for the freedoms
we all enjoy!

Hey Sam,

I just visited the Revolution themes forum, and saw that version 3 has been released. Are you entitled to this upgrade? I hope so, because I am having problems with the theme.

My youtube video won't display, I don't have a custom field for thumbnails (and get an error when I try to add one), and one of the three plugins that came with the theme doesn't show up in my plugin list. And that's as far as I've gotten. Maybe the 3.0 version will fix some of these things?

Thanks,
Jill

Hey Jill, Nice Catch...

I am going to ask everyone to hold off until I get this new version. The current one is fine and it is ready for 2.51...but the new version is widget ready in all 3 columns.

Sam,

I just downloaded the 3.0 theme, but when I picked that theme, my blog has disappeared. I get nothing but a white page that says "done" in the status bar.

There is no js folder in this version (there is in the other one). I tried copying the js folder to the new theme, but it didn't help.

Sam,

I reinstalled everything in a new folder, so it's good for now. One less thing you have to do!

I don't think I did that, Sam. I did have both versions in my themes folder, but I didn't overwrite one with the other. I'm not real sure WHAT went wrong there! But it's all good now.

as a followup to the theme activation problem i did one thing which worked but which is really a stupid hack. i uploaded an index.html file with barely anything on it. then went to change the theme. then removed the index.html file. and it worked. so the ajax thing gets stuck basically.

1. is there a tutorial on how to work with the revolution theme?
2. i noticed a flaw in the drop down. look here at http://www.articletreehouse.com/expertise/ and put your mouse over the Expertise menu item and when you try to go to the drop down it switches out of the drop down into the 2nd level menu.
3. where is the 2nd level menu conrolled.
4. all my home page content is basically empty though i have posts that are live. how do i activate the content?

Hey mountainnet,

You need to edit your home.php file to tell the theme what categories and posts you want to display. Here's one of the authors videos on setting this up:

Good luck!
